In particular, AI technology can provide real-time information, machine learning, and algorithms, making systems in the city more efficient and secure, responding to demand quickly and easily, improve the quality of life for residents.
5G technology plays a role in the infrastructure and key services of smart cities, ensuring millions, even billions of connections with huge traffic and instant response speed, make sure that there are no interruptions in the operating system. Big Data is used in detecting fire risks, warning traffic accidents, medical problems; increase transparency and democracy in state management; improve public service and reduce costs, etc.
New generation of IT and cloud computing technologies are applied in urban planning, information acquisition, analysis, and integration to operating the city, support people’s lives, protect the environment, and intelligently develop community services, urban services and respond to other needs, help the urban economy grow, maintain the progress of society and develop its sustainably. With VR and AR, urban planners and residents can visualize future developments and assess their impact on the environment, aesthetics.
With the rapid urbanization rate, it is expected that by 2025, according to the Financial Journal, two-third of Vietnam’s population will live in urban areas.
